Your welcome. I just have to say that you, BP, are a better man than I. First of all, how you read through all that incoherent blathering on the Battle forums is a great feat in itself. I still have a headache and I think my IQ has suffered from the experience. Second, you took so serious time out of what I'm sure is a busy business schedule to give honest and detailed answers to questions and compaints (12 posts to date on the forum). Even though alot of disrespect was heaped upon you, you plugged away and turned that complaint-fest around. I would have pulled the plug on the whole thing!! So you sir, deserve to have a halo floating over your head at this very moment.
Hey BP, there are always internet hard man, I bet they wouldn't say that stuff to you personally but from the safety of their computer screen, they are real bada$$es.
look I think that they were young emotional and biased......I dont think they ever figured how close some of the cities votes were...just to give you an example there were four spots in Toronto and 350 entries.....
I just read some of the back & forth over there, and I guess what struck me hardest was that the good folks at EB are even willing to engage the "young emotional and biased"
I have absolutely no concept of how much (extra) time & energy go into this whole battle of the bands thing, and evidently countering the complaints of the irrational and immature is part of that.
My respect for EB, the products and the company that makes them, just deepened considerably.
im sure it is probably just a couple of punks makin noise over there but still, the guy starts a contest and charges nothing , nada ,zip to enter has to buy more equipment to give them more bandwidth on the internet so they can get all this free publicity and then they turn on him like a pack of rabid dobberman's when they dont win. how bout they show some class, give the guy a shout out, a little thanks for the oppertunity and ebmm rocks. and what really sucks is you can tell that poppa really cared about this contest because he knew he was doing something cool and giving unknown bands the chance to be heard and then they turn around and kick him in the stones, thats pretty low.
