So i have a thread open about an audition I went on last night ... but i thought the outcome deserved a new thread.

Yup, so i got the gig !!!!

So last night after my audition the guys said they had 3 other guys to try out and would call me this weekend ... well, this morning I got an email from them saying the gig is mine I guess the other dudes don't get a shot at trying out. he he. unfair for them i guess ... but F 'em, im stoked.

After the audition last night my back we sore and my ears had a mini ring in them and i was a wee tired ... and I felt right at home. I was sitting in the backyard having a cigarette and was thinking "God damn, why the hell havent i been playing lately? I love this". Music rules and I'm soooooo happy that I have the opportunity to use music and as both entertainment and an outlet for creativity/frustration.

thanks for the "good luck" wishes from earlier and the "congrats" now guys. i highly appreciate the support of my cyber bass playin family.

looks like we've got a few gigs lined up too. first one is on 7/16. I cant wait! free beer, $15 paychecks and maybe some chicks. ah, i have no idea why i took a break from all this.

the guys in the band are super layed back, nice, funny and cool. everyone has a dayjob so studio rent etc isnt an issue. its a great situation and im really stoked.

on a related not - since im officially playing bass in a band - i guess that officially makes me a bass player again ... taht mean that its time to get my gear in order so its all for sale; if its not a Sterling or a Les Paul its for sale (gotta make room for the 2 pup Sterling). so if anyone wants any of the stuff in my sig lemme know.
