Woot! The arrival of the fully loaded Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Super Sport. Yay!!!!!
Have to say, I am sooooooo pleased with this guitar. I have spent pretty much 6 hours playing today and am extremely impressed with my first MM. The actions when it arrived was wonderful. It arrived strung with 10's and had a low action. I have already swapped her to my usual Super Slinky's and have lowered the action even more just for kicks. I managed to get the action that low that I am considering raising it because my head is unable to compute!
This guitar sounds incredible. I am used to an EMG81, but these pickups are just fantastic, I just love the tone. The sustain is so sweet! Its also the first time with the locking machine heads. Wow! Why the heck don't all guitars have these!
The neck, just wow! I know I don't need to say anything about the neck, you guys no doubt are all nodding your head and understanding exactly what I am feeling in this first day of me owning a MM.
I must not neglect to mention forum member Cherub, who I am fortunate enough to gig with 3 times a week. I have listened to him waffle on and on about how good MM's are and watch in envy as he strapped on a new Luke or two and then a Pet. I would like to waffle on to him now, but I know his smug response will simply be 'I told ya so'. So I will just have to thank him instead for introducing me to MM. Me thinks I may be owing Cherub a beer or two!
I shall now continue with possibly another 6 hours of play on the best guitar I have played, ever, period! YAY!
