Great minds think alike! Although I think a pickguard like this:

Would look even cooler on that color. But what that guy charges for a pickguard shouldn't even be legal. That being the case, White pearloid would be my preferred EBMM offering for that color.

That's one of my favorite pickguards ever, and that color just screams for it. *But* like I said, highway robbery - the only place I know of to get that material is DeTemple Guitars, and that guy wants $300 for one. Supposedly it's some kind of italian celluloid...maybe I just don't know my plastics, but I just don't see why it should cost so much. But...I'm getting off topic. Whatever the pickguard, that would make a killer albert lee!

It's called "abalone" (more accurately might be called abalonoid as it is to abalone what pearloid is to pearl) - I've only seen a pickguard like that from DeTemple Guitars and it is crazy expensive - I'm not even sure if he sells the pickguards, maybe it's just a $275 option on his own guitars.
