"Cinnamon Texture Finish" - the budget version of "Mystic Dream" ?!

Apart from my affinity for Silos I am also the lucky owner of a SUB1 single H version in the textured "cinnamon" finish.

This finish knocked me off my feet when I first had lights from different angles on it as it suddenly turns from cinnamonish brown & red metallic into sort of a green metallic tone. That is spectacular especially as this is the budget & best bang for the buck guitar from SLO. It gives me a slight "mystic cinnamon dream" (Starbuck's, eh ?! :D ) impression... I was not able to capture that behaviour with my cheap digicam yet but will try again soon.

Does anyone of you know any other "official" finish on EBMM guitars than textured cinnamon or mystic dream that shows such color swapping behaviour ?!
I would love to know or even see some pics if availabe !!!

Thanks and ATB

Textured Cinnamon was an interesting finish. Once you get it under bright lights or sunlight, the effect is amazing.

Egyptian Smoke looks beige but when you get it under lights it has beautiful red and green sparkles in it. Check it out in person if you ever get a chance!

Cheers!

Thanks Beth - didn't know there were "extra features" to that ES finish. Just doesn't come out in digital photographs it appears...
I'll check some dealers if someone has any guitars/basses in Egyptian Smoke in stock. Crazed to see what it's like in da lite :D

Thankya again !

Cheers

You may have to get a custom job if you want more color changing options... MD is definitely cool, but I have not seen the cinnamon color option... Work on getting some pics for us!

Egyptian smoke is amazing. It's beige sometimes, green others, pewter at some angles, gold at others, really has alot going on. It just glows.

Axilla - Got any pix of this guitar/color? I don't believe I have ever witnessed any good pictures of this color.

Argh, this is really killing me! When i where about to buy my Sub i also had the option to buy the Cinnamon one. Because i never saw that color for real, i thought it was just a darkish brown....

First Smelly with the cinnamon Sub + black pickguard and now you Axilla, with these very nice photos... :(

Well, I actually never had seen that finish in the flesh when I saw the blowout ad. I just had a look at the seller's website and the only two options were black and cinnamon. No question for me - I'm more into colours... (see pearl purple and pearl lavender Silhouettes ;)).
It basically I was just lucky it turned out to be such a cool finish :D

Very nice, Axel.

I agree with the Egyptian Smoke fans. ES is fantastic! So cool to see it when Petrucci plays his.

...hehehe, yeah, except that mine was a really "steal-deal" and I didn't have that huge extra work and cost ;)

Lucky me...

SMELLY !!!

KEEP YOURS !

Dude,
It's like fate ! - Maiden666 called me last night to see he hasn't got the green to buy mine, and to be honest I would have bought another sub anyway - and the price people are clearing them out for it's unbeatable value.
My SUB stays!

I'm flying to Glasgow next week - a certain large UK chain has a deal on the last of the subs so I might get another, although DaveB still has a black AL ltd with MM90's and I have a credit card so......

Axilla, you're nuts man, you'll fit right in here!
