Cleaning my EBMM

Hey guys,
I've noticed the top of my axis SS in tobacco sunburst is starting to get dirty...smudges, palm prints, dirt etc...i really want to clean it off and was thinking of using a damp towel, but wasnt sure how the wood and the finish would react to water...any suggestions?

any guitar polish will do. thats all i use . i do have a few ernie ball samples which i havent tried yet . but there meant to be good.

Nothing wrong with using a LIGHTLY damp clean rag.
