Hey guys... I'm new to this forum and I just had a question that I think maybe one of you guys would know... I just pulled out my Stingray from it's case- it has been in there for awhile... I'm sorry, it's just that I've been playing my Jazz bass mainly but I want to pick up my Stingray again... and when I took it out it has this film thing or dirt on the tuners and the rest of the tuning mechanism parts... What's a good cleaner or polish that I clean the tuners with??? To get them a little bit shinier... Thanks guys in advance and keep on funkin'...

Hi simplesoul - welcome to the forum.

I have used a chrome cleaner but thinned down with a little baby oil so it's not quite so "aggressive". I don't use that method on my guitars at the moment as I often give the hardwear a wipe down.
I guess now you are playing it again you won't have that problem
