Coated Strings

Does anyone know if EB are planning to do (or already make) any coated guitar strings which preserve tonality?
I migrated to Elixir nanowebs a few years ago after EB Slinkys went off a bit (in my opinion).
I see that there are bass guitar strings 'coated' but wandered what the low down was on 6 string sets.

EB has offered coated strings for a while. Take a look:

I've used the coated Super Slinky's and they're great. I generally prefer the non-coated ones (and am happy to change them regularly), but they are excellent strings and really last.

...and the coated acoustic slinkies too. If only they did coated phosphor bronze mandolin strings...
