My set of Cobalt 5s arrived today. Unfortunately, I can't think of how to get them installed on the only fretted 5 I have in the house. My Big Al 5 has begun the journey to Australia and this neck is on the way to Pat Wilkins for a refinish.
There is a silver lining, though. While this bass is out of commission for the next couple of weeks, but I have a Dargie Bongo showing up on Monday, so I'll get to try them out soon.
PS Convinced my guitar player to check the Cobalts out on his Kellys. He would love to own a Big Al, but he will only play one neck profile, and the Big Al doesn't have it, unfortunately.
