Help! Cobalts on an acoustic bass?

So I'm wondering how these would sound, and if they would even work, on my acoustic/elect bass. It's a non-ebmm instrument, only because I haven't found the right Earthwood bass.

It depends what you mean by "work"? You can put pretty much any kind of strings on any acoustic instrument. Whether you like the tone or not is up to you. On an acoustic instrument with piezo most people would go for 80/20 Bronze or Phosphor bronze but the cobalts will still work.
