I'm a 5 string bass player, I got a music man bongo bass. I want to buy a set of the new colbalt strings but they only seem to have 1 gauge of strings. Just one set to choose from ? There are a bunch of set for 4 string player to chose from but only one for the 5 string guys. Is there going to be more set to chose from in the future ? I like the 50-70-85-105-125 thanks, bye

As far as I know the Cobalt 5-string sets come only in regular but it wouldn't surprise me if that changed before too long. I've heard there are other options in the works but I don't know what yet.

You could leave the low B string as is and only put on a 4 string set of Cobalts. In fact, on my Bongo 5, I ordered a set of Cobalts for it but they were backordered. I bought a 4 string set from GC and put them on, leaving the Slinky B. It sounds fine. I have since received the 5 string set but still haven't gotten around to changing out the B string.
