Hey guys i gotta' question,I'm a big time guitar buyer + collector(60+ guitars) but I've recently been thinking of a few more AMP buys,I own 5 full setups now but was wondering what would be a few good purchases??I've got 2 full stacks one carvin legacy one marshall~mesa power amps~ 1/2 stack genz benz george lynch and a 2x12 genz benz g flex~ I'm looking for something different but still flexible?? the genz benz g flex are the best sounding I've ever heard for cabs a great low end even at practice levels!I'd like a SRV tone, thinking maybe a fender deville 2x12?something under a grand, chime in!let me know!
i've got the METAL tones locked up so I'm mostly into a blues/clean tone setup!

recently discovered the egnater mod 50.
All my private amps that I love (Bassmans, Non Master Marshalls and....) don´t have channelswitching except my Bogner Fish but I think my next amp will be a Mod 50 or 100.

Check it out

+1 on the F series. kinda off topic but do you ever set up you gflex so that the ports arent on the bottom (either sideways or upside down) to change the tone?

I really haven't changed the way the ports are on the genz benz why would that change sound??maybe MORE thump??I know it's just as GENZ BENZ claim's a 2x12 CAN compete with my 4x12 marshalls or mesa's or legacy's ANY day!Unbelievable response and the dispersion is WAYYYY more on them really throws out the sound to engulf a room in TONE!

HHHHhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm you got me thinking about getting one of the GB 2x12's. Do you think it would go with my Marshall vintage Modern head???

Cheers,

if you want clean, try a hiwatt dr103 custom 100. they are very simple, just add your favorite pedals. listen to dave gilmores heavenly tone. i,ve boogies(studio pre and 50/50 power) and a dr103.the hiwatt is the sweeter.

having owned lotzzzz of amp & speakers from peavey to fender to marshall~ mesa and carvin,I'd have to say hands down loudest enclosure (2x12 or 4x12) is a genz benz just speaker wise they also sound great clean, the g flex are very powerful try one you'll be glad you did,i actually thought celestion vintage 30's were the best now i see eminence makes a nice speaker(wizards) that sounds just like vin.30's with more power handling and CHEAPER!!can't go wrong there!i have a 4x12 genz benz it's almost too loud to crank it's actually painful to people in the audience and not due to my playing! they tend to keep a focused sound and not"fart" like most amps at high volumes!the ports keep the bass tight too!good response and the speakers are angled outward so they disperse the sound over a larger area!
