Hi everyone, just thought i would pop in to see what was happening on the forum, not been on in quite a while.
I was hoping you could maybe help me choose some songs for my college interview. I just recently got my second ball:D JP7 desert gold!! but im not sure what songs i could play on the magnificent beast. I went straight to Dream Theater for 7-string pieces but i would like to try something new, any suggestions:confused:??
If you can't think of anything for the JP7 then let me know some songs i could play on the silhouette.

thanks in advance

Jamie

P.S can be rock metal country, anything....:)

How many songs are you gonna play?
In terms of genres, what is your thing? I say play to your strengths. I mean, if you're a blues/country/rock'n'roll guy, maybe it would be wise to leave the metal to the metal guys and stick to blues/country/rock'n'roll, for example.
Are you allowed to play your own songs? If so, do you have to write the score to them so whoever is evaluating you can keep track of things?
Also, try to come up with a balanced set.

Play whatever you are comfortable with. No reason to try to do things you haven't practiced much before or show off weaknesses! And good luck!

Play Searching by Satriani. I think that's on a 7?

I think you should play at least one etude that you write yourself, which shows dynamics and versatility, while still displaying most or all of your skills.
