I don't doubt that you've had calls already - I think the headstock photo is quite spectacular. But personally, I think the color SCREAMS to be on an AL!!! (W/MM90s & piezo )

Agreed. Actually, I also really dig the snap of maple - it's what has me playing my AL above all other guitars these days - that and the awesome tones and ridiculously comfortable and well balanced shape. Not to mention the heavenly tones from the pickups. Okay - I just dig my AL.

I want one.... but I am not the mass buying public. If I were endorsed, it would definitely be one of the very first colors I'd ask for. Even if the answer is no... I'd have to at least ask. LOL

Whenever I get the money for a six string JPM, I'm very likely, should it still be available then, getting the Lava Pearl because LP and Desert Gold look so stinking cool together, which is the reason why I like the autumn red-rise so much.

If there is ever Mystic Dream purple (i.e. MD without the shades of green), I'd be all over that too... if I'm not still trying to figure this whole professional musician thing out and thus still poor by then. LOL

About the 08 LE color... I like it. It seems like it will work really well with some guitars and not quite as well with others, but I think that's the nature of color in general for any color and any guitar. For instance, I think the silverburst would look ok on an Al or something with a picgaurd, moreso than any of the non-pickgaurd models: Axis, JP. I do think that a more gradual color shift would look better in general. The fun part is... I've not met many Music Man's that I didn't like anyway. lol

Yeah, I was already thinking of 2 or 3 ALs in the LE08...a luke, a couple JPs, a couple bongos, an SR or two, an axis in every configuration possible (my favorite)...maybe a Sterling....maybe. (lol)
