Jimmy,
Fantastic guitar... I've been on the hunt for one like that for years. Autumn burst, rosewood, natural. Very nice. Congrats.

Hey Fred, it was indeed a very rare find! A rosewood board on a autumn redburst silo. I considered myself very lucky. Its from UK anyway. ;)

Jimmy,

Very cool; you don't see many of those around! Enjoy!!

Thanks John! Next you know what I'm getting, and they are equally rare! :D

Hey Trav, you mean headstock's white sparkle silo spec? Yup, a headturner it is indeed. I think a black pearloid guard or a abalone one will create a greater contrast and let the white sparkle to stand out even more!! Ya hear me stock?? :D

That's actually something I had not thought about... Abalone - may have to give that a shot.

It's tricky to photograph, yes! It changes with every lighting nuance. but I've never seen it look bad! ;)

2002?! That guitar looks brand new! Quite a find my friend, enjoy it.

The frets show play wear, the back of the neck shows grime, but there is no ding, dent or whatsoever on the wood and the finish! The body after some polish and cleaning looks like new. The ex-owner really baby this guitar. :)

Yup Bruce. But you know what? - the best way to shoot it is not to use flash at all!! (Thats what I did for the pics above.. ;)) The flash would whiten out the image on film - thanks to the thick, wet poly on this piece! Of all the Balls I have handled, I have to admit that the finish on this one is the most amazing. Wow, & how I wish I can gather all the sparkle silo specs shown earlier for a real "Family Shot"! Here's another shot:

Thank you BP and EBMM for producing the Sparkle range - to me, they are as precious as gold!

Nice one, dude!

Yes, I use available natural light when possible. I like shadows, nuance and suggestion; capturing something of the soul of the instrument and my relationship to it. Subjective, in other words.

Hey - what a way to capture the spirit of a guitar called "Silhouette"! ;)
