Hey guys,
could you compare the silhouette and the JP regarding their sound?

I´m not sure which one to chose and my dealer has currently no EBMM´s at all, just sold out! :(

Goodness, that's a tough one because they are different in so many ways. I cannot really comment on the regular Silo but I do own both a 20th Ann Silo and a JP6.

The JP6 has a thin neck (back to front), thicker than the typical Ibanez but similar nonetheless. The trem system is simple yet works perfectly. The JP6 always feels "small" and is very nicely balanced. The knobs and switches are perfectly located if you like to change them while playing. The PUPs are classic Petrucci tone, very edgy with great sustain. The guitar tends to feedback rather easily which, imho, is wonderful.

The neck on the Silo is closer to a Fender with a definite C shape compared to the JP6. I have a fixed bridge on mine which works well. Overall it is a more versatile guitar than the JP6 and has some very nice tele like tones and a great clean sound. The tone is pure compared to the JP6's grittiness. This is the 20th remember.

If I were playing metal or prog metal all the time then I would use my JP6. But for general gigs with a variety of music the Silo covers more bases.
