Ok so many of you have read the thread about my wife and the SS. I have a problem. I want the silo and can't wait till the day we order it then the harrible 4+ months i have to wait to get it. The problem is that I can not stop thinking about a Rosewood Ass matching head stock stoptail with piezo! This is so hard. It's a regular run that has been called special, a gem, ect. The fear as that in the blink of an eye they will be gone then we only have ebay and well we all know how that goes.

So how many of you have the same GAS or expreiance the joy of ordering a New Ball and being unable to be 1000% happy because you are already Gasing something else?

we all want more than we can have or afford.
some here even have 4 or 5 guitars and tell themselves they're happy, but they know they want more.

cheers to your gas my friend!!!!

I have always suffered from GAS but I have never had it for a guitar when I am in the middle of ordering a different guitar that I am GASing over! There must be a meeting we can go to!?!

I'm on a one a year plan. Seems like a good pace for me. Any more than that would be cutting into my beer money.

There's also the problem that there are sooooo many different types of guitars. I go looking for cool and different guitars all the time. Discovered a "new" type just today and have been researching these things. Of course it couldn't have been a nice affordable $400 guitar.....the used one I found was $1300.

And.....uh.....well....how do I ask this..... Ok....5 guitars isn't really considered a LOT of guitars, is it? When my wife is complaining about how many guitars I have.....I let her say 6 and don't argue since they're all over the house, at work, in cases. 6 is a good number for her to think.

It's not just guitars it's amp and other gear too. At one point I had a dual Recto and a tri axis. Each had it's own fx racks, rack mount tuners and midi pedal boards. GAS can get so out of hand!!!

When asked the age old question 'How many guitars do you need?'

Standard response is 'one more than I've got'

I definitely go through GASsing phases. I've been pretty good though. I've sold four guitars in the last two years and bought only one. I'm doing pretty good. I'm thinking of selling the black sparkle ASS. I have an Ibanez that is definitely going on ebay as soon as I get it from my parent's house.

My hardtail Axis and my something brand-ocaster are the only electrics I need really. I got a couple of acoustic and am thinking of ditching the Taylor.

Well I can honestly say that I don't have GAS as I feel that I am content with the guitars I have - honest!

But I certainly did have EB GAS after getting my first AL.

Tell me about it man.. After convincing my wife a few months back on a new Axis (which have yet to arrive), I'm already subliminally talking my way into getting a new Rosewood Axis S (with peizo ofcourse:D). One night she got fed up, and she threatened to send me to REHAB.

Only 4 or 5? Apparently, I couldn't be happy with 4 or 5, and I don't think I have stopped the GOMGAP (GrumpyOldMan Gear Acquisition Project) yet.....

(Perhaps it is a hint when you reach the point where you cannot list any more in your signature????)

Well if you need to clear room in the sig I will help and take either of your Dargies off your hands:D

By the way you have the most all around awesome collection on the forum, Ernie is the JP master but your variety is fantastic:cool:

Thank you, but I am quite certain that there are lots of us with similar collections, and maybe they are a bit hesitant to list them (or, maybe they have hit the max on the signature and decided "If I can't list 'em all, I won't list any!"...you never know...).

...there is no such thing as too many Balls (or guitars and gear in general) ;) :D

Always GASing for more...

Truer words were never spoken nor posted!
