I had a look at the schematic for the Big Al, and boy was I impressed?

I have been following the birth of this bass, but didn't have the time to read through all the 1000's of posts, this morning I was browsing the specs on the Big Al and when I came across this chart: http://www.music-man.com/pdf/big_al_bass_cfd.pdf it was very very interesting to learn all the possible combinations you can get out of the 3 pickups and the active / passive modes. I think this bass will be a success when it's released.

I really like the options and can't wait to try one.

"Well Done" Mr. Sterling Ball!! :D

Yeah you can change tones on the new basses in about a half second I really liked the passive tones on the Big Al as well....I didnt get as much time with the Anniversary basses but same deal with the tone shaping abilities really.

Thanks Capt Im real proud of the new stuff..... Check the schematic on the anniversary basses for giggles

I have no doubt those Anniversary basses will also be groundbreaking.

I have to admit that coming from two P&$ bass which also have a 3 single coils setup, and active/passive switch but with a rotary 5 pos p/u selector I am seriosly intrigued to learn more about your Big Al and see how they compare, which is why I will be trying one out as well as the Anniversary, as soon as Pete of Strings & Things will let me know that they are in stock.

If the Big Al takes my fancy, that will be my next purchase for sure. But I am hoping on a natural body without pickguard & maple neck fingerboard combo
