I would like to replace the bridge humbucker on my cutlass rs with a single coil. Music man pickups appear to have 3 wires but vintage pickups use two. What is the best approach for wiring 2 wires single coil through silent circuit?

One of the three wires on the Cutlass single coils is a shield wire- you can just ignore that if the replacement single coil doesn't have one.

Assuming the new pickup is the same phase as the neck pickup, then you'd just wire the hot to the lever switch and the ground to the "PHA" pad on the PCB, along side where the ground from the neck pickup is wired. (Yes, they'll be connected there but that's ok.)

What do you think of this schematic? If it’s only a 2 wire pickup would I need to solder an additional ground to attach to the board?
