Interesting and thanks for this info...I was always under the impression that the owner was in Middleton NH (not so far away) but there is a Middleton Mass too right outside of Danvers (about 3X the distance from me)...I wonder if Guitar center still owns it and is trying to trade it for another bass...I know they have contacted other Craigslist listings before. I may check that out. Again, thanks for the heads up...

BTW, do you remember what GC was asking for the bass?

I don't think GC Danvers has it anymore if they did it would be on the GC used website which it is not. And I know that GC does not do trades like that on CL. I think they wanted $1,100.00 for it when I saw it. I thought it was priced way too high for it's condition. I am sure I could have talked them down but the weight of it just made me pass on it. And yes Middleton is right next to Danvers.

yeah, the more I think about it, I may pass on it...I emailed the guy like three times asking fret/truss rod condition and haven't heard anything back. In the meantime, I may have a guy that's interested in the SR4 at work. If I can sell it outright, a very nice used SR5 isn't that much more than I'm selling the SR4 for

Well, I tried to pin the owner down as to fret/truss rod condition. His email back to me (finally) was that he sold it already to a friend...it wasn't meant to happen I guess. I was starting to have second (and third) thoughts about this whole thing anyway. For not a lot more money than I am selling the SR 4 for, I can buy a much nicer SR5
