Hey all,

Well yesterday was a very blessed day for my family and I. I bought my wife Rochelle a new car. It is a 2010 Toyota Corolla S model. A few weeks back, we visited Rochelle's plastic surgeon for her re-constructive surgery that will be probably sometime in January. When we left, we also stopped and looked at new cars because our oldest boy has been wanting to buy Rochelle's truck and Rochelle really has deserved something nice considering all that she has been through over the last year and a half.

Long story short, I was not able to get financing from my own bank because they wanted more money down than I had. The salesman called me back yesterday and offered to take more money off the car and then try and go through one of their banks. I did a credit app online and everything was good. We brokered a deal over the phone and I headed to Greeley, Colorado which is about 90 miles away to sign the papers and bring Rochelle's new car home.

Now here is where it gets kind of cool. As we were waiting for finance to do all of their papers, the salesman and I were talking and I was showing him pictures of our kids that were on my cell phone. Well, after the kid pictures is my other kid pictures, my basses. He saw the pics of the bass that BP built for me and thought it was pretty cool. He also thought that was really cool what BP and EBMM did for my family. Well, he then told me his son is a guitarist. It turns out that his son in Sonny Mayo from Sevendust, Head PE, Snot and a few other bands. We ended up talking music for quite a while but it was cool to hear about his son. I don't know if Sonny Mayo uses any Ernie Ball or Music Man products but I made sure to tell his Dad how pleased I was with my basses and the craftsmanship in how they are made. Who knows, maybe Sonny Mayo's Dad will pass on my good experiences with Ernie Ball and Music Man products to his son and if he doesn't already use the products, maybe he will soon!

Cool story! I am constantly amazed at how small the music community really is at times. Let that be a lesson to always watch how you handle yourself! :D

Congrats on the new car!

Thank you. Today I had the joy of taking in my sons 93' Toyota 4X4 that we traded in. The drive sucked because the truck is falling apart. Then en route, 2 plug wires fell on the exhaust manifold and melted. I got stranded on the side of the road until I could go buy more plug wires to drive the truck to the dealership.

On a good note, because I knew we were going back to Greeley today, I took my DDII Bongo with me and stopped off at the Guitar Center in Fort Collins. It got lots of ooh's and aaah's from many people. I probably had at least a half a dozen people come up and tell me that was the best looking bass they had ever seen. Then when I plugged it in to a few different amps, it played flawlessly and had much musical bliss coming from the speakers. I also wanted to bring the Bongo to encourage this store to actually order some in. They have plenty of Stingrays and Sterlings but that is it. Needless to say, I think I left a pretty good impression on the folks that work at that store. They were all drooling over the Bongo! Actually, I was too and I own it...
