so I did a 2hr corporate bbq gig this afternoon with a Flamenco trio...... in the blazing sun!!

pickguard on the Bongo was too hot to touch and I almost burned my fingertip when I touched to feel the temp of the pickup slugs

anywho, he's been chilling inside the house now in the gig bag for the last 2hrs and I'm back out tonight (inside) to do another company party type gig... hopefully he'll like the a/c in the hall better than poolside this afternoon

and yes, I'm sure there've been some gnarly Cowpilot gigs in the blazing Texas sun.... you guys are nuts!! :D

Could be the opposite. Playing an outdoor gig in freezing weather and you have to wear gloves.

did that on wednesday afternoon :p

seriously, did an afternoon concert with the Flamenco duo, and we were outside in a plaza at a local University and it decided to be the cold and rainy day of the week... we were covered but it was cold enough that the guitarists frets started to 'sprout' just enough for him to notice the edges getting a bit rough.

fun week for sure.

:D
