Well, after a nasty little incident involving alcohol, g.a.s., eBay addiction and my wife I’m selling off some non-EBMM basses. I’ve bought lots of stuff off of eBay, but I’ve never tried to sell anything on eBay.

(Let the record clearly state that “Psycho Ward” has made verbal contract with “Mrs. Psycho Ward” on many occasions stating there would be eBay sales of items to fund treatment of EBMM basses addiction.) … sorry, but this was part of an agreement to allow me to keep my manhood…

So anyway could one of our eBay savvy members check out my listing? I would appreciate any advice. I am new at this after. :D

Here it is…

I think I made the shipping too high and set the BIN too high, what do you guys think?

Thanks

Good looking auction. Don't know about the price as I don't regularly look at anything but MM on ebay, but the shipping seems reasonable. I've seen basses ship for anywhere from 20 to 40.

I just checked the Completed Listings for the same bass (a lefty even), and it went for $800 + shipping (in the last couple of weeks). So yours isn't too far off the mark.

I'd let this auction end (assuming no sale), then relist with a $650 starting bid (if you're willing to accept that amount), and set the BIN at $800 + the flat rate shipping ($40 should cover Ground Service to the lower 48).

I'd ace AK/HI, unless they're willing to pay the difference. Offer insurance as an option. Also, it's good to avoid shipping to PO Boxes/military sites, as you'll only be able to use USPS as your shipper then (FedEx, DHL, UPS don't have access to those sites).

International shipping is your call; I don't do it (too much hassle with customs/duties).

If you relist, and the item sells, you get the relisting fees reimbursed (or at least they used to).

That should work okay...of course it's always up in the air with buyers.

Good Luck!
