I would like to tune one of my bongo 4 strings B E A D, with the appropriate gauge strings of course. I normally use TI jazz flats and I also like the jazz rounds. The jazz rounds 5 string set has a .118 B string. My question is, can somebody verify for me if this will fit in the E string slot on a bongo 4 *without* filing the nut? This was discussed in an old thread but I think the person was talking about using the power bass set, which has a .119 B string. It was unclear though if the person had to file the nut or not.
