It's probably a dumb 4rse idea but I thought I'd throw it out there!!

What with people saying that they have dinged their guitar whether it be the clearcoat or dinged the body, how about a touch up stick like you get for touching up scratches on cars? - though how you would cater for Mystic Dream I just dont know?

Just wondering whether it would be economically feasible for EB to do it?

You know, because the colors are sometimes a good match, I use auto touch up paint. Or sharpie permanent markers.

Use the girl singer's metallic purple nail varnish..... a perfect match!!

Warning for the less intellectually gifted.....this only works on Pearl Purple guitars.

Actually sounds a good idea Spud, but a ding usually involves surface damage too. You guys with black guitars shouldn't have problems, but for the more unusual finishes....transparent over woodgrain & sunbursts it would be tricky.

it's not important....But if you really want to kn
definately a good idea. Gibson used to do touch up paint pens (dunno if they still do?) and as Spud says, Halfords make touch up pens for sorting scratches on your car. Have also tried the nail varnish trick on a candy apple red instrument which was reasonably sucessful although not 100% happy with it.

Have been thinking about trying to touch up the small ding on the bottom edge of my mystic dream JP6, but the big quandry is do i touch it up with purple or green???

In all seriousness - that guy Billy Mayes that sells all kinds of stuff (Oxy Clean for example) also has a scratch concealer that is supposed to match any color paint. I've not tried it as I don't need it, but I wonder if it would work on a guitar?
