I read the press release in the news bulletin section of the website, but I was wondering if anyone had any other info on the new Morse Y2d.

Is this a limited 20th anniversary run or is this becoming a staple of the EB/MM family? It may allow more time for saving/wife convincing.

The release mentions quilt or flame. Will this be luck of the draw similar to the Axis or by request similar to a premium?

If by the luck of the draw, will there also be an available premium upgrade?

Will there be headstock options or will they all be natty like the pictures tommyindelaware posted?

Will the new neck have the same specs listed as the original but a slimmer profile, or will there also be differences at nut/last fret?

It says the original Morse will still be available, again, for the long run or will it be phased out?

I understand its early in the release but at this point If I want to speak to my dealer, I'd like to know what I'm talking about.

Thanks

It will not be a limited run. The tops will be like on the Axis models. Luck of the draw as far as quilt or flame, but you will be able to upgrade the tops, and choose flame or quilt.

The original Morse will still be available. I am pretty sure the headstocks will be natural, but the logo will match the body color.

This doesn't answer any of your questions, but I saw steve last night playing it at the LA show. He broke it out 3rd song 2nd set

It had been so long since I had seen him play another electric it was like he was cheating on his wife with a newer, younger hottie. While his wife was forced to watch from a few feet away.

Maybe there's a better analogy.

Thanks Jon

Hey Keith - I guess you got to watch too. Hopefully you had enough quarters to catch the whole show before the little window slid down :p
