hey all,
just a couple of questions, is the neck shape and size on the Luke 2 the same as it's always been..? I tried an early Luke 1 yesterday and it seemed quite different to mine, I love the way my guitar feels BTW..:) 2.. has anyone else raised the pickups on their Lukes..? I put some foam under mine to raise them closer to the strings..:)

I played a Luke for the first time last week while testing out a cab.

To be honest I didn't really like the neck that much. Now I'm not saying it was bad (in fact it was much nicer than a strat and a bit nicer than a PRS that I also tried), but it was a long way short of the neck on my Axis super sport for feel. The ASS is my only EBMM, but I had thought that all EBMM necks would be as nice as the Axis, YMMV.

I don't think it's a matter of "nice" or "not nice".

I think it's more of a matter of "different".

All of the EBMM models sport different necks, some differences are more drastic than others. The Luke, IMO, probably has the most unique profile of the line.

well I have quite a few guitars and after I got the Luke I didn't play the others for a long time, then I was going out to gig one night and I took my vintage strat which had been my main guitar for about 20 years.. and it felt very strange.. I think that once you get used to the neck shape and the guitar gets played in a little it becomes addictive... I am about to order my second one any time now(maybe I'll wait for the maple top model) I just think it is best electric guitar I have played and I can cover any tone and any gig with this one guitar... I think that more than any other guitar EBMM currently makes the Luke is the most versatile and I simply love mine...:D

Yes. As you say, was just different, felt a bit strange, but then I only had 10 minutes with it. Sounded pretty good though.

I think the JP is the wildest neck the luke is more in the classic v shape. and remembewr Its not good to play other guitars after you get used to ours...it mwakes you really feel silly for owning the others

It took me an hour of playing to get used to the V of the luke's neck. I still love my axis sport but I must say that as of now I have a slight preference for the luke's neck shape:)
