I was restringin' my Sterling when I noticed a crack in the nut where the D string would be !
So what do I do now ?
Get it fixed ok,but should I stick with a regular nut or should I get another (graphite,Stone, or other ?)
Or you guys got other Ideas ?

Many thanx already

if you like the sound in your bass, get a new nut from eb and have a "good" luthier put it in for you.

i had a break in the nut at the A strng last year. stupid me had the guy who sets up my friends bass do it.

lets jsut say i need to have it re done cause it was cut way low and the e & a string.

super glue would be a thing you could try if you cannot get it repaired right this second.
