I was looking in admiration at the clever and wonderful compensated nut which is fitted to my new Bongo, and I wondered what will happen, say 10-15 years from now, when the nut will start to show some wear and tear signs and would eventually need to be replaced by a new one, will EB UK Distributor sell me one? Will I need to send the worn out back as proof?

I am sure I could get many repair workshops here to replace a traditional nut to an ordinary bass but I really doubt it if they stock these compensated ones here in UK.

Has anyone had one changed yet?

take care of your nuts guys ;)

Yes, you cannot be too careful with your nuts.

But not to worry on replacements for the compensated versions. EBMM has been happily putting the compensated nut on all the new models, fretless being the exception, so there won't be a problem if you get a little excited and (ouch) break your nut.

Busted nuts are bad... or are they good??? Maybe it was beer that was bad... nah, think that is good too.
