Hi,

The G on my bass broke recently so I went out to the Guitar Center in Encino, California and bought myself a Custom Gauge Single G at .045, product id 1645. I'm really impressed with this string!

I now want to buy a 5 string EB pack for my bass, but I'm faced with a problem. I want to get the same type of strings my new G seems to be in. If there any EB string experts of EB staff out there, can you tell me what would be the equivalent of a Custom Gauge .045 (1645) to a 5 string EB bass pack?

To help clarify, I'm specifically wondering if I should get the regular Slinkies, the supers, or the powers to get the same kind of feel and sound I'm getting from my Custom Gauge .045.

Thanks,
Sam

You want the regular slinky 5 string set, which has the 0.045" G:
