It's pretty cool EBMM offer's the Custom Design option for basses, but how about for guitars? It seems simple enough to do, offering similar options as they do for bass (body type, body color, neck type, etc).

As it is now, customers have to wait to see if they like that year's colors & necks. Several times I've been wanting to buy a guitar, but just didn't like that years' offerings - leading to me deciding to wait.

Any plans for this?

I both would love to see it and wouldn't (because my wallet would cry).

I'd be concerned that it would only be JPs or Majestys since those are the most popular EBMMs, I think.

I think if they ever did something like this, they take say the StingRay and Sabre, otherwise I think it might be overwhelming, Like they did with the bass builder. If they did say any of the JP's or maybe the Axis, I'd imagine they'd have to either limit the heck out of them of charge gobs of money.

Just my thoughts, Glenn |B)

I doubt they ever do this but would be cool and if they do I doubt it would be with the artist models, more like Glenn said , Stingray, Sabre,Cutlass

Music Man is now the last major domestic manufacturer to not have a custom shop or customizable guitars, after EVH unveiled their custom shop officially at this recent NAMM. With the inevitable recession on the horizon, it might be a smart thing for them to do.

Funny to be honest they were actually the first, but abandoned the idea. Too bad, the options use to be pretty good and you cold configure out a pretty nice guitar, but you still had to purchase it thru a dealer, per ecommerce explosion.
