Having seen a few neckplates that say 'Custom Made' on them, I was wondering what it takes for a guitar to leave the factory with this on them. Is it when you specify an option that is outside of the normal range etc? Anyone got one, and how did it come to be?

The EBMM I ordered with the premium top has that neckplate, the others do not.

I remember reading that the Dargie Delights wont have the custom made neck plate. But Luke's Dargie had one.

I believe the currrent Custom Made is for orders with premium tops. The first two limited editions (Rad and Envy) had Limited Edition stamped on the neckplate. The Buttercream and Black/Gold had the limited editon stenciled under a regular plate on the body. Don't recall what they are putting on the Dargie or 20th, but I would guess the 20th would have the same upgrade top plates and, since there are no upgrade tops on the Dargie it would be standard, plus it has the Dargie stencil under the plate..

basically you send me the neck plate and I do it for you... LOL!

BP- Relax it's only a joke...
although with my Project that i'm working on I will be using my laser engraver to custom make my own neck plate... it's a "S" word guitar that's being built to honor my grandparents... and it will become an art piece for the family...
