I wont actually get it till March. So has anyone else had to do this? They said it had to be a custom order bc I wanted a hard tail and non painted headstock. OH and I got it tobacco burst.

First off, congratulations. That's awesome and welcome to the forum. Tobacco burst on the Axis looks fantastic.

On the custom order/wait question -- many of us have waited patiently for our guitars. My first MM guitar was an Axis Super Sport that I ordered through a dealer and had to wait several months for it to be built. It's a hard wait but so worth it to get what you want. In general, if the color/bridge/headstock/pickup combo that you're looking for isn't in stock at a dealer then you'll have to wait to have it built.

The good news is that when you order your second, third, fourth....MM guitar the wait gets a bit easier in that you have one or more awesome guitars to play until the new guitar shows up :)

Congrats again.

Congrats, thats a sweet Axis Super Sport you ordered, maple or rosewood frtboard??

Yep waiting can be tough but worth it to get what you want, my only problem is I tend o buy one or two waiting on it:eek::)

Pickup a Sterling while you wait, good guitars for the money!

Yep, my first MM was an Olive-Gold luke with non-matched headstock, and I'm waiting for my Roasted Reflex as we speak...It gets (a little) easier after the first one.

Congrats :) Better to wait to get what you want than spend the $$$ and always wish you had ordered exactly what you want. The wait will be long but well worth it.

Tobacco burst? Hard-tail? Maple?

Cool. It's worth the wait. I ordered my first Super Sport several years ago - despite having little to no play time with one and no idea how it would sound through an amp I also ordered sight unseen (Z-28 from Dr Z). One of the best decisions I ever made. Congrats :)

cheers always, eh

I also ordered a hardtail Axis Super Sport and my wait time was about 3 months. You can ask your dealer what the estimated wait time will be.

should we start to fuel the fire by posting pics? LOL

Without a doubt the waiting is the hardest part. Hey that sounds like a good title for a song. That is what Tom Petty must of been singing about when writing it,

Jamie I seriously am waiting to see how your RM.BS Reflex turns out as it is going to kill. I also doubt that their will be that many of them
