hey Gang ,
My nut on my 2002 Blue Dawn Silo is going bad has a crack and it moves in the Low E slot so i need to order a new compenstaed nut from the fine folks in SLO any help for the number? i did do a search but came up with nothing

Lenny, I'm not sure you can change the older style nut with the newer compensated nut. I think the slot needs to recut, either wider or deeper.

Do a search on "compensated nut" and read up.

Plus, the compensated nut is proprietary, so if your guitar did not come with one, you can't order one.

well i have already Placed my order and i did ask for a compensated nut But them she asked for my Serial number so should i call them back Jon? or will they just send me what is right?
Thanx for the help everyone i have only had my Balls For less than a year you might say im still getting used to them hehehehehehehe

Man! I am so totally bummed that MM won't retrofit an EB guitar with the comp nut:mad: !
The only other option is the Earvana and it looks much less sophisto on my beatiful Axis!:(

They won't be able to tell if it's a compensated nut or not by the serial #. I would call them back and make sure they send you the right one for your guitar.
