I believe EBMM can "seal" the neck for you if you want. Call customer service. I'm not 100% sure though... I believe Jon from EBMM would know more than me. Where has he been by the way?

Jon sealed the neck on my Petrucci for me. I'm not sure of the exact process but I believe he said it was super glue (cyanoacrylate) thinned with acetone and wiped onto the neck. I had an issue with the neck early on and while it was out in SLO I had Jon seal it for me.

There's been a lot of discussion over the years as to the benefit of having the neck sealed. Some swear by it other's say its of no real benefit.

It's the only one of mine I've had done and I haven't had problems with any of my other EB's. I live in an area that's prone to wild swings in humidity and temps and have never had a problem other than that one time, so I'd say it was probably just a fluke with that guitar.

I do oil and wax all of them once a year though...

Don't be scared of the fact that it was sealed. It's still a great feeling EBMM neck, there's no mistaking that. All you'll have to do is wax it occasionally.

cyano acrylate (CA) is absolutely super glue! I never imagined it would be used to seal a neck...
