I wanna share this video of me performing one of my original songs - "Flathead". :) Apart from the lead take, the Luke was also used on about 90% of the rhythm guitar tracks. Enjoy!

Dang, brother - that was RAWKING - loved it, especially when you kicked into overdrive at about the three minute mark (I was keeping up with you until that point :) ).

Tell us about your signal chain - great tone!

Thanks for the responses guys! ;)

The signal chain goes like this: guitar - Vox Big Bad Wah - Boss DD-7 (used only for that one pronounced echo moment at the end of the main solo) - Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface - Cubase 5. In Cubase I used Guitar Rig for amp and fx modeling, Redwirez IR speaker simulation and various plugins for reverb and some extra EQ.

The amp model I usually use is the "Hot Solo +" one, with a treble booster in front for some extra definition and punch and the Redwirez IR is a Marshall 1960A with Greenbacks miced with Royer 121. :)

Very tasteful! Nice hooks.
Got the Satch vibe in your playing. Good melodies. Smooth fingering, and worked out solos.
Really beautiful playing

Lee Ritenour's Six String Theory competition, Guitar Idol 4 and some other stuff...

Hey guys, just a quick update of what's been going on with this video since I posted it here.

A few months ago, I entered Lee Ritenour's Six String Theory competition and this was one of my entry videos. I was chosen as the winner in the rock guitar category and I finished 3rd place overall in the competition. That was a really big thing for me, considering the judges were some of my all-time favorite artists and guitar heroes. Great things and opportunities started happening since then. :) - Six String Theory

A few days ago also I entered Guitar Idol 4. This time, you can help me get to the finals and perform at the London guitar show by VOTING here:

Guitar Idol 4 - Entrant Video

I would really appreciate it. ;) I'll keep you posted on my progress in the contest for sure.

Cheers!

I have been a Satriani fan for more than a decade and if you would've said that this was a cover of a new Satriani song, I would've believed it. Amazing chops man, truly exceptional!!
