Can't say I've ever played one - but I can say I know what it is... Quite a few switch-a-ma-bobs on that there bass, too...

True, but look at the size of that control-cavity! :eek:

'tis a beauty, though - I'll grant you that (from the backside, at least)...

Love the multi-wood artsy stuff. :)

Never been able to find out much about it (and I've tried). My best guess estimate is that it was made in the 80's at the Matsumoku factory in Japan. Great bass, although it is 11 lbs of maple & walnut. (and knobs). I call it my $425 Alembic.
