Tommy, so who exactly is Dan Huff? Sounds like somebody I should check out....I've always liked the trademark 'Mutt Lang' sound. His producing is usually fairly easy to spot.

Dann is probably the #1 producer here in Nashville. He pretty much only plays on Records he is Producing now. He is still playing Tylers as well as some Andersons, Les Pauls and Gretsch.
As far as Mutt Lang, Dann was a "Protege'" off Mutt. It was Mutt who taught Dann about Recording, thats something that Dann freely admits.
The Giant records are MUST have for Guitar nuts!!!! Dann Plays and Sings his ASS off.

Dan Huff

Dan Huff played for many years in a christian rock band named WhiteHeart . He also played as a studio musician on a alot of 80's projects...He currently has been producing Keith Urban's Albums. IF you have never heard Dan sing or play I Would suggest Giant the first album of 3 of a band he fronts. There is also Giant time to burn ...2nd album, and Giant III ...You can find these at nehrecords.com...He also has a solo guitar album that you can get at CCentertainment.com......Enjoy Dan is awesome.

He had a very short video out too that's very worthwile to get.

It's him in the studio talking and showing about how he approaches guitar playing in studio. Much too short and looks like a lot of stuff about gear was edited out....I'll talk about my rack later....but never does!

Yeah, I figured somebody would post that. Chicago And Toto are my favorite all time bands---but the mix on Chicago's new album is just weird!!!!! Its all over the place---it doesn't seem to gel. I havent been able to put my finger on it yet--its just weird. It really detracts from an othewise fine album. Ironnically the best Chicago horn break is on Totos new album!!!! Which by the way is awesome and the mix on that is SUPERB!!!! Listen with headphones---there's lots of goodies in there!!!
