I have no connection at all to this - and its not quite an eBay or CraigsList sale, so starting a separate thread...

I've been on vacation in Nashville the last week and went into Gruhn's guitars - which are known mostly for their classic Martins - and there's an EBMM collection on consignment there. I don't even know who actually owns it...

Anyways, for the Dargie II fans - they have very reasonably priced the following models in that relatively rare color:
JP6
Albert Lee - with three P90s
Luke - gold hardware
Baritone Silo
Bass - Special 4
Bass - Big Al

There's numerous other EBMMs there, including a Silo Gold Roller.

Eat'em up boys! :)

It would be interesting to know the other side of this story....
Who collected all these DD's in the first place? Original owner?
And why the sell off....?
Sounds like a sad day for someone out there....

There is some cool stuff in there.

An SSS AL with a rosewood neck, a Dargie Silo BFR with mini-humbuckers, etc

Stopped in late today. The triple P90 AL looks to be gone. I really wanted to see that one, as I've never seen one in person. All those guitars look to have been very well cared for - great finds for someone.

There also may have been a Silo from the first run (with martini glass inlays) in HSH configuration - before I even posted the "come and get it" thread. :)

Those Dargies were originally sold by us to the same person. In that batch were a Silo bass, Al MM90 Piezo, AL SSS piezo, Sterling piezo, Silhouette Gold Roller, & JP6 piezo.

Thanks for the details Pete - figured you might be mixed up in such a large collection! :)

By the way - anybody know if there were any Morses from the FIRST (martini glass inlay) Dargie run? I've never seen a Morse from that run, but am confident there were some in the second (oval inlay) run. Just wondering on that first run though...

I snagged the Silo Bass/Baritone. I love the color and the bass/baritone thing is something that will fit in nicely for me.

Does anyone have any production numbers for Dargie II ? I've seen the list for the original Dargie, but none for Dargie II. I imagine there are more for Dargie II, but not sure about the Silo Bass. I imagine there are not very many out there. I can barely find mention of the model in standard colors :)

thanks,
-Randy
