I usually keep the FS stuff contained in its own thread, but Manfloozy has his Dargie HS Bongo fretless on the block.

Rare as rocking horse poop.

Be advised.

Jack, Thanks for the bump. It is a sad day for me, but I can't part with the DD Ray.

I hope she finds a good home. I'll try to get a few better pics tonight.

This is really killing me. Too many great basses available right now. Not enough money to even get one of them. :(

A question: How many Dargie Delight Bongo 4 fretless were made and in what pickup configuration? AFAIK, there were no piezos. Where there any unlined ones?

Thanks, Jack. There were indeed very few. And no numbers for fretted vs fretless.

I slowly get a feeling I should jump on this one, or regret it for the rest of my life... but I'd so wanted to be my fretless Bongo a HSp.

I only know the stats on the lined fretless 4s, which is 4 total, 1 hs, 2 hh, and 1 h. There is 1 Hp, but don't know what type of board.

I did too, but there were no fretless DD HSp's made :(. There was 1 HSp 5, which a guy on the TalkBass forums has but I think it's fretted.

so... that means either waiting for another great LE colour, or trying to find a blue dawn... sequoia would have been hot too, but there were no piezos with gold hardware either. Time will tell... (man do I love those martini glass inlays!)

I'm so happy to say that Matt (Manfloosy) and I have struck a deal on his Dargie Bongo fretless 4 HS. I hope to have it in my hands next week. And I can hardly wait! 2 Bongo's bought in a month.

I'm an official Bongoloid junkie...

For the record... Kevin rocks. A sincere and complete privilege to do business with, and I couldn't be happier with the Bongo's new home!

If so that would explain the extremely low numbers of certain models. And, the complete abscence of other models.
