I would like to know the year of fabrication of this instrument.

No problem,
it's a pre-ernieball Sabre, during the operation of the restoration, i have find the date of manufacture:
Body: 02/07/1979
Neck: 17/07/1979

Dating my Sabre

I purchased a Sabre bass years ago for $250. It's in great shape, and the serial number is C004747. I can't find any information on when it was made. Can anyone out there help me?

The dates should be on the neck and body in the neck pocket if you feel comfortable taking the neck off to look.

The date is probably very close to the one mentioned above - July '79 or later.

Pictures?? What color is the body and what type of fingerboard?
