and EB just repainted it for me last week (no, im not special, it was a warranty job)

How did you get them to do that i have 3 small chip on the bottom of my bass near the input but i think thats cause i smacked it off a chair when i sat down.. psh . its no big deal but if i could get it fixed for free that would be awesome my bass is only 6 months old

That wouldn't fall under warranty repair. I believe phatduck had some sort of inherent imperfection in the finish which was under warranty, and not caused by intentional or unintentional actions of the user.
