Dave Larues New Book

I just had 3 of Daves basses in for some set up work. I still get a thrill working on stuff like that.

A 5 string Bongo with a kind of Lava Pearl/Desert Gold Burst, a Desert Gold fretless 4 bongo, and a Buttercream Bongo 4

Drool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would love to see the burst... Jon, you have got to start keeping a digital camera next to your bench!!!!

dwf1004, a mod from the guitar side, has posted some pics of Dave LaRue playing the Desert Gold Burst Bongo in a concert with the Dixie Dregs a while back. There are also pics of Dave's Blue Dawn Bongo!

I saw Dave for the first time up in New York and he was absolutely amazing! I was there mainly for Steve Morse, but, when Dave would do some solo work, Steve would literally stop playing, stand in and watch Dave. I have found a new inspiration when it comes to bass playing. He mainly played (hate to bring up the color thing) a Blue Dawn Bongo and it was awesome.

I will probably buy the book, and hope to obtain 1% of his talent.....

I had seen the blue burst before but don't know how I missed the orange burst??? Drool, drool, drool!

On a side note, Mingus, that avatar is just disturbing :D
