Lately I have had several dead or near dead strings in slinky 5 sets and a couple of regular slinkys from guitar center. The last 5 sets have been hit or miss.
I have had to nearly pitch a fit with them to get them exchange because it is not their policy to do so. They need to check old stock and blow it out cheap if they want to sell strings that aren't fresh. I always get excuses from them. I always wind them correctly. But would like any customer service folks to take note. GC is the WAL MART of music stores.
