I've recently had a 5/HH fretless unlined set up with flats, with my local luthier
...and some dead spots manifested, the notes are short and with no resonance whatsoever
switched back to rounds, nothing changed, the action is great, intonation is perfect, tried the neck thing...didn't work.
it's worst on the D string between 6th and 10th fret
what am i missing, any tips anyone?
again, it wasn't there a month ago
also, anybody else had the trouble of stringing the ball end of the fifth string through the bridge?
