Question. How acurate (how often is it updated) is the inventory using the dealer locator system and why can't GC show their inventory? A very cool feature on the site, would be nice if GC could play along.

Music Man updates the inventory when they ship stuff to the dealer.

But then it's up to the dealer to update the inventory when they sell the instruments.. and that's where a lot of them fall flat.

I can see how it would be hard to get GC's accurate.. it's probably enough to keep their own inventory records in order, let alone a parallel system.

Betcha DuBaldo's is dead accurate though... he's seen the wisdom of having good data in that locator.

I used the Dealer Locator successfully here in Michigan when I got my Ball.

I had not had a chance to play a JP6 and I didn't want to just get one over the internet. Using the Locator, I found a store near me, confirmed that they had a couple in stock, played the Redburst, fell in love with it and bought it.

So essentially, the Dealer Locator was very responsible for making my purchase... and I can't thank it enough!!!! :D

I update mine a few times a week, the day after EB ships me something, or the day I sell something. There has been more than one occasion where people have looked at my online inventory and called to purchase an item that hasn't even arrived at the store yet.

The small Mom and Pops usually are better at this than the big guys. I got my Tobacco Sunburst Axis from a small shop I never heard of an hour away from me because they were listed in the dealer locator.

Canadian Dealers

I'd love to know who is selling and stocking MM guitars in western Canada as the dealer locator needs to be updated for B.C. Canada ,The one it shows in my area doesn't even carry mm guitars anymore.(Guitar works)
So all you Canadian dealers please post your web addresses as I 'am always looking to buy the next guitar and would love to be able to check your stock on line?
Thanks in advance ,
Lee.
