After extensive research and consultation, the date has been set! Sunday, December 18th. Any and all forum members are welcome to attend (limited space available in store because of size and fire marshall regulations, you must contact me ahead of time if you are coming), just get yisself here, and get yisself back home :D

We will provide the following (taking cues from Sterling & the EB Open House)
  • Tour of the original DuBaldo Music Center
  • Tour of Beller's Music (D.M.C. store #2)
  • Presentation of y2ds and
  • Presentation of the EBMM instrument line
  • Opportunity for a mega jam session, with drums, bass, keys, etc
  • Opportunity for a guitar lick sharing/roundtable style Q&A session with other forumites, or 1 on 1, if you're into that thing and Luscious is there.
  • EB strings & shtuff and MusicMan guitars and basses on sale, natchully
  • Food
  • FUN (unless NorM shows up) then it's chaos and we all get lost! (sorry NorM)

Kickoff/assembly is at 12:00 noon on Sunday the 18th @ DuBaldo Music Center
12:45-1:00 leave for Beller's Music (Store #2)
1:00-1:15 arrive at Beller's, remain there for the rest of the afternoon.

YOU MUST PM OR EMAIL ME WITH YOUR NAME IF YOU WILL BE ATTENDING, SPACE IS LIMITED! The stores are not gigantic by any means, and I need to know ahead of time who is showing up. We are normally closed on Sundays, this is a special event.

My Brother lives in Connecticut. I should send him in my place. He can get me one of those free Y2d's you are presenting to all attendees.

I have 20 freebies so if he shows up he can get one for you. No joke.

Well, if anyone wants to arrive on the 17th and book a hotel for the night, I put some hotel info up. :)

As far as festivities on the 17th...
Nick's 21st birthday is the 13th, and we are going out to catch our cousin's band Yellow 9 at a bar on Saturday night the 17th. If anyone is coming in early enough, you are more than welcome to come with us, I'm the DD, possibly taking the MillerVan to transport people in bulk if I can tune the carburetor up in time.

Pete,

That sounds very nice and all, but where will you be hiding that beer van?

Oh, I plan on having it in plain view.

I'd like to take a moment to direct your attention to the Yellow9 website's photos section-yummy.

I ordered some custom instrument/mic cables for the band yesterday and today. I had the shrink wrap personalized with their website on it, today the sales rep called me and said "Pete, GOOD GOD do they have some honeys on their website"

I asked "Why do you think I go to the shows?" :D

Seriously tho, they are a very good band, and they have a very good-looking crowd! until I show up and scare them away

I'm torn, Pete. I have an exam on 19th that will more or less determine whether I pass my Advanced Networks class or not. I'm more or less at peace with having to retake it, but it would be nice not to have to suffer through it again. On the other hand, I missed out on the Open House and I don't want to miss out again.... Oh, the roads we take....

Uh, it's possible they may be slightly different when all is said and done.

Also, when all is said and done, a lot more has usually been said, then done.

I'm hoping I can go. I had shoulder surgery and on the 15th I will see if I have to go back to work or get a few more weeks off. If I have to go back to work, I start on Sunday night and work thru the night.

If I get an extension, I'm going. I would leave Sunday am and return Sunday night. I could take a few passengers too. I'll keep you updated.
