So after a few months of wearing out my last 7 functioning brain cells agonizing over which bass to get, the decision (and order) has been made... Sky Blue Bongo 5H, vintage white pearloid pickguard, new lightweight tuners is officially on order from Bass Central and I am STOKED! Now I get to agonize over waiting 3-4 months before I get it...:(

The Reflex's and Big Al's will have to wait another year I guess... Bongos just rule.

pre congrats, maybe a new pickguard for one of your other killer basses or have you tried Cobalts yet, I put a set on my 25th, I find them a whole new tone and feel experience.

I put the cobalts I received (2 sets still on backorder) on my Dargie II Bongo... and yes, they're incredible! You kinda think like me, I have a plan to help me pass the time while it's being built... I have a 2nd pickguard on order for the incoming Bongo that will be customized ASAP with something that I haven't seen anyone else do yet... it's gonna be sweet, I can't wait!

Is it just me, or is this single-pickup-Bongo thing really taking off? Seems like more of us these days are getting into this sort of thing.

In October, I received a black/black pg Bongo 6 H from Bass Central and fell in love with it from day one! It stands to be one of my two gig basses (the other being the 6 HS).

With the arsenal you have listed in your siggy that's saying quite a lot.
