Well guys, now that we have seen both the JP15 and the Artisan Majesty, which one are you more excited for? If you had to pick one or the other, which one would you choose? After seeing these in person at NAMM, I can say that you cant go wrong with any of them. They are all incredible. I think I am leaning more toward the JP15 flame top, but man is it a tough choice.

I'm definitely most excited for the JP15. I prefer the Majesty with the "race car" vibe, that the original colors had going on, and I'm not a fan of gold hardware on that guitar.

After playing them both at NAMM I have to say the JP15 takes it for me. The roasted neck was just amazing on the 15!

the Jp15 is a guitar that you are going to look at in 20 years and think 'I love the way this thing looks 20 years later'

Im in the same boat. I picked up the phone to call my dealer but hung up because I couldn't decide. Majesty Artisan Marrone or JP15 (Figured or flame)

IF (and that is a HUGE IF) I had the $ I'd go JP15. That in a figured top with the roasted neck would be really cool.

After being sure that I would still go Marrone Majesty, I'm now leaning more heavily towards the JP15 - I have a feeling that the Majesty will see further evolution; I'd put my money on it that in 5-10 years the Majesty will still be around in some form or another (who knows, maybe they incorporate a badass looking quilt top at some point), but who's to say the JP15 will still be an option then?

The way I see it, when EB offers up a gorgeous top with a beautiful roasted maple neck, one should rise to the occasion and take advantage while it's still an option...

I was dead sure to order the Artic Majesty as my first Music Man guitar
... and then I saw the Artisan Marrone and I put my order on hold
... and then they released the first preview pics on JP15 with roasted neck
Wow, that’s a tough choice!

I'm leaning to the JP15 because of the roasted neck and oiled finish. I just love gunstocked necks =)
I do like the idea of Majesty upper fret playability but a painted neck is my biggest issue. It's a harder to maintain or repair if it get a dent.

after playing a PDN roasted JP6 w/maple board, no question, the JP15.

I just want to hear John say. "This is my new favorite".

The all wood look of the jp15 is so classy, and the quilt looks amazing! And that highly figured roasted neck is to die for. I think JP is leaning toward maple necks again after years of finished necks, a roasted maple neck(unfinished) feels and looks so good.

I have been gassing for a Majesty for months, in fact, was ready to pull the trigger (or push the buy button) on a white one from Sweetwater right around Christmas and wasn't fast enough.

That said - after seeing the JP15 and really loving everything about it (especially the roasted neck) I am going to wait for one those to be available.

Wow, i figured it would be a little more split. It seems like everyone is going for the JP15. That roasted maple neck and classic good looks are hard to pass up. I just bought a jp6 with all rosewood neck for myself. It's going to be hard to talk the wife into letting me buy another one, but I sure as heck am going to try!

We ordered plenty of jp15s. If anyone is looking to place an order or has questions, let me know.

JP15 all the way.

I love my JP13 and the 15 is like a BFR version of that. It looks good, feels good, and obviously JP digs it. It (as well as the 13 or other anniversary models) just has a girth and solidness that the Majesty doesn't have. The Maj is a nearly flawless instrument - as well as one of the most consistent from one guitar to the next (trust me I played a LOT of them at NAMM) - but in my opinion it's just too light; it's not monstrous enough. Hard to really say why the JP13/15 seem to have more 'oomph,' but they do. Here's a pic of me explaining this to JP (and while he wouldn't say which he liked better, he agreed with the weight and solidness of the 13/15 lending something to the feel and tone of the guitar):
