So I've got some extra cash on accounts of my tax refund and I'm thinking about getting 1 of 2 things.

1. Envy Green Luke II Guitar

2. Envy Green or Pacific Blue Burst Ray 4

On one hand I want a nice guitar and It's got to be a Music Man! On the other hand I would really like to have a Ray. I figured I would have roundwounds on my Ray, flats on my fretted Bongo and I have yet to decide what I'll be putting on my fretless but I figure that would give me a lot of options.

What do you all think?

hmmmm

if you don't have an electric, i'd say go for the Luke.
haha...i first looked at the color choices and was going to say neither, but an electric is nice to have around.

I'd go for the pacific blue burst. I could quite happily end someone for something in that colour.

You have basses get the Luke. After all just a tax refund and you can get the LE forum bass when it comes out next year or so...:)

Envy Green in transit!

I just pulled the trigger on an LE Envy Green Ray for a heck of a deal from Chuck Levin's. I thought about it and although I would like to have a nice guitar, I wouldn't be using it for much more then songwriting or recording at home. I still plan on purchasing a EBMM guitar down the road but the Ray was a better deal. It should be here on monday or tuesday of next week. Thanks for everyone's input and I'll be sure to post pics when it comes in.

congrats.

Those envy green basses are gorgeous.
I keep TI flats on my fretless but I am more after a thump than a Jaco or Pino sound

.....YMMV

that envy green ray /black headstock will be gorgeous
there was a pic of one with a red pickguard
it was a joke but I really liked it

I was thinking there are a number of pickguards that would look great on the bass on the way. The one I have on the way has a maple fb if anyone was interested.

I was thinking Tort, or White, or black or pearly white. I love the abalone though so I don't know how soon I'll be changing the pg.

thanks again everyone,
Andrew
